It was proudly painted but will not be a regular print in my collection. It is still avilable for order, but incurs an additional cost and may take up to two weeks to ship.

Did you know there is a 20 ft tall chair in Anacostia? How about that when it was built for Curtis Bros Furniture Company in 1959, their marketing plan included hiring a woman to live up there and bring attention to the store? Lynn Arnold lived in a 10x10 foot glass house on top of that chair for 42 days in the dead of summer. The Big Chair is still there (a replica of it) and at one point held the title of World’s Largest Chair. This interesting piece of DC advertising history will grace the November page of the 2021 DC Watercolor calendar alongside DC’s stinkiest and most unpredictable tree: the ginkgo.

NOTE: Giclee printing is a technical process by which our printer replicates our painting to look and feel like an original. They use archival watercolor paper.

Giclee Prints may take about two weeks to ship depending on our inventory. Please contact Sam for timing info if needed.
